The Cape May County Bridge Commission announced that the Fishing Pier on the northern side of the Ocean City-Longport Bridge in Egg Harbor Township will be temporarily closed to the public beginning Monday, March 2, 2026, to accommodate scheduled improvements and beautification enhancements. The pier is anticipated to reopen prior to Memorial Day 2026, weather permitting.

The Fishing Pier Improvement Project is intended to enhance safety, functionality, and the overall appearance of the facility for residents and visitors.

The pier will remain closed for the duration of construction to ensure public safety. Updates regarding the anticipated reopening date will be provided as the project progresses.
