Emergency Responder 5K

5 kilometers (3.1 miles)

The 5K and 1 Mile Events will start and finish on the Ocean City bike path. The kids events will be on the field.

REGISTRATION - Opens Feb 1st

• Online registration: ocnj.recdesk.com
• Race-day registration: 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at the Ocean City Community Center. Same hours for day-of packet pickup
• Registration fees: $25 through June 1, 2024. $30 June 2 - June 5th 4:00PM. June 7th In-person registration ($35) only at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center (1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City).  Entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. 
• Advance packet pickup: 12noon - 6 p.m. June 7th at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center (1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City)

RACE AND COURSE INFORMATION

The race start & finish is at 18th and Haven Avenue. The course is out and back on the Haven Avenue bike path. The awards ceremony will be held at race site after all participants have completed the course.

• Beneficiaries: All proceeds benefit Ocean City Recreation Scholarships and Programs, and the Somers Point Education Foundation. 

AWARD CATEGORIES

• Overall: Top male, female & Non-Binary 5K finishers (overall time is based on gun time)
• Age group: Top three in the following 5K age groups: 8-and-under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-and-over. (Age group awards will be based on chip time.)
