The Purchasing Division procures all goods, services and construction contracts for all City departments. Purchases are made under the New Jersey State Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. to provide a fair and equal treatment for all vendors doing business with the City of Ocean City.
The rules and regulations are intended to maximize the purchasing value of public funds and maintain a procurement system of equality and integrity. The Purchasing Division also is responsible to dispose of all surplus City owned property through an on-line auction GovDeals.com and the bicycle auction held once a year.
