Certification is required for all rented dwelling units within 1 and 2 family structures. Inspection requests can be made by submitting this application form. These inspections must be done in-person.
Certificates for seasonal rental units will be issued for a period of twelve (12) months, regardless of the number or frequency of changes in tenancy. Inspection is required every year.
Year-round rental shall mean a lease period of 175 days or more. Certificates for yearly rental units are valid until there is a change in tenancy/occupancy. Inspection is required prior to leasing to a new yearly tenant.
Availability: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Inspections should take no more than 15 minutes and are scheduled at exact times.
The inspection fee is $50. You will be contacted to arrange payment. Common forms of payment are online, by mail, or in-person. All rentals must also obtain a rental registration and landlord certificate.
