The optional theme will be “Summertime Vibes - A Tribute to Jimmy Buffet”. Participants are also welcome to use their own theme.  Using your own theme does not affect the judges scoring.

Parade Notes:

· Remember, in order to register you must have a home/condo on the parade route.

· Your NIV registration number may be picked up from the Welcome Center located on the First Floor of City Hall. We will begin handing out numbers starting Saturday, July 13, 2024 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. You must pick up your number and mug by 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

· The official parade start time is 6:30 P.M. at the Longport Bridge

· Judging for your area will be as early as 30 minutes before the parade start time, starting at the North End. Look for the boat marked “Judges”. The Judges boats may pass your home several times. You must post your 2024 NIV house number sign so it is visible to the Judges boat in order to be judged. Two judges will be stationed on lead boats so that those judges get to see your entry in full swing. Those scores will be combined with the scores from initial judge’s boat. The initial boat is looking at decorations and the overall impression. The judges located on the lead boats in the parade are looking at the energy and enthusiasm of your party in action. Remember to light your house so the boats can enjoy your decorations.

· Fireworks will once again return around dusk at the end of the parade!

· Award winners will be posted on ocnj.us and oceancityvacation.com by Noon on July 21, 2024.  Prizes can be picked up starting 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 21 from the City Hall Welcome Center.

**VERY IMPORTANT** Please make sure that no one throws objects or shoots water from water guns at boats. Law enforcement officers will remove violators from your property. For the safety of all, please do not allow your guests to swim during the parade. Also, if decorating with balloons please be conscious and considerate as to not harm marine life.
