This week, the Contractor has been cutting into existing concrete chambers north of 18th Street to remove segments of the existing 20" Ductile Iron Pipe. The Contractor has also been fusing and staging the new 16" diameter HDPE pipe in preparation of slip lining operations.

Next week, the Contractor is scheduled to continue with the chamber work north of 12th Street. Also, the Contractor will be excavating a receiving pit on Bay Avenue in front of the basketball courts that are north of 15th Street. The plan is to push the new 16" HDPE pipe from the open push pit that is at 20th Street to the receiving pit near 15th Street.

This weekend, Bay Avenue will be open to two lanes of traffic with lane shifts around the open pit near 20th Street. Next week, Bay Avenue will be open to local traffic only from 24th Street to 18th Street. There will also be local closures of Bay Avenue between 14th and 15th Streets while slip lining operations are ongoing, as well as one day closures on the blocks that the chambers are being worked on. That is, one day each on blocks between 12th & 11th, 10th & 9th, 9th & 8th.
