September 7, 2026: Sand-pumping operations continue at Seaspray Beach, the final area for the 2026 beach replenishment project. Beach access is open at Seaview Road and beaches to the north and at Surf Road and beaches to the south on Labor Day. The beach is closed in the work area at Seaspray. Guarded swimming areas are open at Atlantic Beach (along Beach Road) and North Street in that area. The contractor anticipates beginning demobilization of equipment on Sept. 9 with the dune crossover at Morningside Road and a section of Beach Road closed for safety.
