August 1, 2026: Sand-pumping operations continue between the jetties at Fifth Street and Seventh Street. The newly rebuilt beaches north of the Fifth Street jetty, including Park Place and Brighton Place, are open with lifeguarded swimming areas. The beaches south of the Seventh Street jetty, including 8th Street and 9th Street, are open with lifeguarded swimming areas.

In the first stage of the project, work is proceeding southward toward 12th Street. When that is complete, work will move northward toward Great Egg Harbor Inlet. Approximately 1,000 feet of beach (two blocks) surrounding the immediate work area will be closed to public access at any time. Sand-pumping operations will continue 24 hours a day for the duration of the project. Sand ramps will be constructed over the pipeline at all beach entrances as work progresses down the beach.
