Ocean City residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items during Santa's Food Drive from Nov. 28 to Nov. 30. The donations will benefit the Ocean City Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard.

On Friday (Nov. 28), the Food Cupboard challenges the community to fill an Ocean City Beach Patrol lifeguard stand with donations. The stand will be stationed outside City Hall (861 Asbury Avenue) during the annual Christmas in the Downtown — Our Miracle on Asbury Avenue celebration. On Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 29 and 30), donations will be accepted inside City Hall at the Welcome Center (use the Ninth Street entrance).

Most needed items include: Dinty Moore Beef Stew, Hormel Chili, Spam, canned fruits and vegetables, canned chicken or tuna, soup (any flavor), Chef Boyardee (any flavor), peanut butter and jelly, canned beans, and tea bags.
