Starting on Sunday, the city will provide a new service that will allow residents to drop off trash and recycling at the Shelter Road Recycling Center from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The service will be available during the same hours every Sunday from the weekends of the Spring Block Party to the Fall Block Party (May 7 to Oct. 8).

This convenience has long been requested and will serve residents who may not be at their Ocean City homes during the regularly scheduled trash and recycling pickup days during the week. This is a pilot program to address this need, and we will make revisions as necessary. The service is not designed for bulk trash or commercial operators.
