Ocean City will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. The annual ceremony, a long tradition in Ocean City, will be held virtually this year.

The public also can view the ceremony on OCTV-97 (Comcast channel 97 for Ocean City residents) at 1 p.m. Jan. 18, 9 p.m. Jan. 19, 7 p.m. Jan. 20, 12 p.m. Jan. 21 or 10 a.m. Jan. 23.

The ceremony includes music, prayer and reflections on Dr. King, the honoring of Ocean City residents with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Services Award, and a recitation of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech by the Rev. Gregory Johnson.
