Beach Driving Permit - A permit is required to drive your vehicle on the beach to fish. There are a limited number of permits issued. For more information, contact Vickie Ballezzi at 609-525-9101 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org . Please provide a name and mailing address if you would like to get on the waiting list. The waiting list can vary in time depending on the availability of an opening. Property owners have first priority, then residents, then non-residents. The Boardwalk is 100% smoke free.
Boardwalk Rest Rooms are located at: 1st Street, 6th Street, Music Pier, 11th Street, 12th Street, 34 th Street Playground, 58 th Street Beach. All bathrooms are handicapped accessible. Family bathrooms are located at 1 st and 12 th Streets. All restroom hours are subject to weather and crowd conditions.
Clothes Closet – Operated by the Ecumenical Council - Phone # 609-398-1009
The Clothes Closet is located at 5 th & West. Donations are accepted during operating hours: Monday 10am – 3pm, Wednesday 10am – 3pm and Friday 10am – 3pm. They accept clothes that are in good condition and in-season. They are especially in need of men’s clothing. They also get donations from area churches. Clothes are given to those in need at no cost.
Free Surf Chair Program - Beach Accessible Wheelchairs
located at the Community Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue. Hours: 9am- 5pm
Beach accessible program for mobility/limited individuals of all ages. Now “Surf Chairs” can provide an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the surf and sand. Must be picked up at facility. You must have large vehicle for transportation. AVAILABILITY: Memorial Day – Labor Day

Hobie Cat Permit - A hobie cat permit is required but, unfortunately, there is a waiting list of at least five years to get a permit. For more information, you can contact Beth Ravelli at 609-525-9194 or email her at email@example.com if you would like to get on the waiting list.
The Dog Park is located at 45 th & Haven. Applications can be filled out and submitted at these locations; City Hall, 861 Asbury Avenue and Community Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue. Fee is $30 for CMC Residents, $40 for non-residents and $10 weekly. Proof of updated Rabies Vaccine required. Cash or Check only.
The Ocean City Community Food Cupboard is located at St. Peters Methodist Church. The entrance is located in the alley between Wesley Avenue and Central Avenue. The Food Cupboard is open Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, but will be closed on holidays. The Ocean Ecumenical Community Food Cupboard gathers and distributes an emergency food supply to help those in need. The Cupboard is completely staffed and maintained by volunteers.
The Bayside Center is located at 520 Bay Avenue. It delivers an in- depth look at Ocean City’s natural habitat. The public dock is open year around and makes a terrific spot to watch the sun set over Great Egg Harbor Bay- or the annual Night in Venice boat parade. The Bayside Center also offers summer programs for children to learn about the Bay and the creatures that live in the water. The Stainton Wildlife Refuge is located between 23 rd and 30 th Streets, 16 acres of protected dune and marsh is a haven for native and migrating birds. An elevated observation platform gives birdwatchers a birds-eye view. Park at the airport, 26 th and Bay.
If you walk Asbury Ave. from 6 th to 11 th Streets and back, you’ve walked one mile.
Corson’s Inlet State Park is located at the southern tip of our island is a quiet, undeveloped state park with acres of wild dunes, a beautiful cove lagoon and beachfront access. At Corson’s inlet, the majesty of the seashore has been preserved as it was centuries ago. Guided walking tours are offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in July and August. Surfing Beaches are located at Waverly Blvd., 7 th and 16 th streets.
Boat Launches are located at Tennessee Avenue between 22 nd and 23 rd street and at Corson’s Inlet State Park.
Dogs are allowed on the beach between October 1 st to April 30 th . Dogs must be leashed and owners must clean up after their pets.
Playgrounds are located at North Street, 6 th Street, 8 th Street, 15 th Street, 29 Street, 34 th Street, and 52 nd Street.
Public Tennis Courts are located at 35 th and West Avenue, 18 th and Haven Avenue, and 6 th and Atlantic Avenue. (6 th street offers 5 lighted courts).
The Humane Society of Ocean City is a private, non-profit organization. HSOC operates a “No-Kill” Adoption Center and Veterinary Center, offering affordable veterinary services and spay/neuter clinics. Beach Weddings are permitted in Ocean City. You can be married at any street beach with prior approval. A permit application must be filled out. There is no permit fee. You are permitted to set-up chairs and decorations. We ask that you take them down within a reasonable time after the wedding.
