Capital Projects Flood Mitigation Plans

Mayor Jay Gillian held a virtual town hall meeting on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 to share plans to address flooding issues throughout Ocean City.

"Flooding is an issue that affects everybody in Ocean City in some way, and the city remains fully committed to providing relief to all areas of the island," Gillian said. "We will never be able to stop all flooding, but I believe we can make a significant difference in the quality of life for those who live in flood-prone neighborhoods. I also want to reassure everybody that this will be an ongoing mission – we will always be prepared to maintain and improve upon the work we have completed."

I hope everybody takes an interest in our plans. If you have questions or comments, you can always contact me at mayor@ocnj.us, Business Administrator George Savastano at gsavastano@ocnj.us or Public Information Officer Doug Bergen at dbergen@ocnj.us. We will make sure a representative of the city responds to your questions and concerns.
