Library to Host Author Matt De La Pena on Friday

The Ocean City Free Public Library will host a meet-the-author talk, question-and-answer session and book-signing with Matt de la Pena at 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 10. The event is free and open to the public at the library at 1735 Simpson Avenue.
Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Matt de la Peña is the New York Times bestselling, Newbery Medal-winning author of six young adult novels (including Mexican WhiteBoy, We Were Here, and The Living) and four picture books (including Love and Last Stop on Market Street). In 2016, he was awarded the NCTE Intellectual Freedom Award. Matt received his MFA in creative writing from San Diego State University and his BA from the University of the Pacific where he attended school on a full basketball scholarship. He currently lives in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he teaches creative writing.
