Ocean City Seeks Volunteers for Housing Authority and Planning Board

Ocean City seeks volunteers to fill seats on the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners and the Planning Board.
The Ocean City Housing Authority  is an independent body responsible for the ownership and management of Public Housing in OceanCity in accordance with state and federal guidelines. The OCHA has as its mission to provide decent and affordable housing in a safe and secure living environment for low and moderate-income residents of OceanCity. The OCHA Board of Commissioners are responsible for the oversight of finances and policies.
Ocean City Housing Authority
Meetings: 5 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Pecks Beach Village or Bay View Manor in Ocean City.
The Planning Board is authorized to exercise power with regard to:

1. The adoption of the Master Plan.
2. Subdivision control and site plan review
3. Recommendations as to the official map.
4. Conditional use applications.
5. Recommendations as to the zoning ordinance and amendments thereto.
6. The capital improvement program.
Ocean City Planning Board
Meetings: 6 p.m. on the first and second Wednesday of each month at City Hall.
