TRASH, RECYCLING & STORM DEBRIS INFORMATION - Home

 

 The Winter Trash & Recycling Schedule is now back in effect:

Monday is south side of 34th to 59th Streets

Tuesday is south side of 17th to north side of 34th Streets

Wednesday is south side of 9th to north side of 17th Streets

Thursday is south side of 3rd to north side of 9th Streets

Friday is Longport Bridge to north side of 3rd Streets

City ordinance limits trash/recycling/yard waste containers to 32 gallons and no heavier than 50lbs and they must also have a lid.
Recycling and yard waste containers must have labels on them.

PLEASE NOTE: check with your insurance company prior to any trash disposal or removal that may affect your claim information. 

Appliance pick up (white goods) can be scheduled by calling 609-399-6111 ext 9702 Monday-Friday, 8:45am-4:30pm.

Shelter Road is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am – 3 pm. Extra containers have been placed at the Center for disposal of storm debris. The Shelter Road Recycling Center is located on Tennessee Avenue behind the Golf Course off of Bay Avenue. 

Additionally, containers have been placed throughout the city to be utilized by the residents during their cleanup efforts. DUMPSTERS ARE FOR RESIDENTS, PROPERTY AND BUSINESS OWNERS ONLY. CONTRACTORS CANNOT USE DUMPSTERS!

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE PAINT OR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IN DUMPSTERS such as oil, antifreeze, car parts, motors, batteries, thinners, pesticides, cleaners with bleach, propane tanks.

Please bag any insulation material.  Electronics including TV's, computers, monitors and laptops should be taken to Shelter Road and NOT placed in Dumpsters.

A collection of trash receptacles that were lost in the storm waters are now at Shelter Road for residents to claim.  Please have identification of residency or property ownership to claim.
