Time:              Warm-ups will start at NOON
Meet Time is 12:45 p.m.

Location:        Aquatic and Fitness Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue Ocean City, N.J. 08226

Facilities:        25 Meter, 6 Lane swimming pool
                        There will be NO food allowed on the pool deck

Eligibility:       Open to all swimmers 8 years old and younger

Any swimmer under the age of 5 must be

approved by the meet director

The age of the swimmer on meet day will determine the age group to enter

Entries:           Swimmers age 7 and 8 may enter all five events
                        Swimmers age 6 and under may enter all four 6 and under events

All entries can be submitted on the entry sheets provided or e-mailed to

kpratz@ocnj.ususing Hy-tech team manager. All times must be converted to meter times.  If no times are available, please write “NT” in the time slot.


The summary of event sheet and waiver and entry form must be filled out completely, signed and returned with entry fee.  $4.00 per event.  All entries must be received by Monday January 27th, 2017.  Make checks payable to:

Adult Water Exercise


Water exercise class is designed to increase flexibility, circulation and muscle tone.  Water is used as resistance, which places less stress on your joints. Class may utilize floatation equipment. Non-swimmers welcome.

Using flotation devices to exercise burn calories and improves how you’re your body moves. Water is used as resistance while trying to move through it, engaging all muscle groups. Impact free and great fun for all fitness levels.

Swim Lessons

Learn To Swim
The American Red Cross Learn to Swim program teaches youngsters to swim and be safe in, on and around water. We teach 5 progressive levels. Starting with Level I where the most (elementary) beginning swimming skills are taught, thru Level 5 refining the competitive strokes.

Spring: March 1st/ Summer: June 1st
Fall: September 1st/ Winter: November 1st.

Parent and Tot
Parent participation is required. This class is designed to introduce and acclimate your young child to the water.

Adult Lessons
Instructors work with you at any level.
Private and Semi-private Lessons

Adult & child individualized instruction; the lessons may be arranged at your convenience.

Adult Fitness Swim

AFS  is a Coached work-out for ADULTS.
The intent is to create an environment that welcomes those who may just want to add something new to their pool swims as well as the seasoned swimmer.   Participants should already know how to swim, should have a basic knowledge of the four competitive strokes and be able to complete 8 lengths of the pool without stopping.

7:00pm(Sat. or Sun.). Exclusive use of the pool. $210.00 up to 20 children

$7.00/swimmer over the amount of 20

Customer in charge of table set up. Aquatic and FitnessCentermaintenance staff will break down tables and chairs.

American Red Cross Courses - Lifeguarding & CPR

American Red Cross Courses

Now offered at the Aquatic & Fitness Center:

Lifeguard class includes: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and First Aid for Lay Responder (Valid for 2 years)
All participants must be proficient in Front Crawl & Breaststroke. Pre-cert swim is required. This will be given at the beginning of the 1st class.

East Coast C-Cerpants Swim Team

East Coast C-Cerpants Swim Team

The East Coast C-Cerpants Swim team is a year long competitive age group swim team that is sanctioned by USA Swimming. This program includes swimmers from age 5 who have completed swim lessons to college age swimmers. The C-Cerpants compete in a variety of local and regional swim meets that include swimmers of all ability levels. Please see the team's website for more information.


Explore the world of SCUBA diving. Learn the physics and physiology of man under water, combined with developing water skills to become a competent SCUBA diver.  SCUBA diving opens the door to the exciting world beneath the sea.  For more information, call EAST COAST DIVING 646-5090.

At the Aquatic and Fitness Center, a personal trainer is your partner in getting healthy and fit. Your trainer will assess your current level of fitness, consider your individual fitness goals, then design an exercise plan to help you achieve success safely. Your trainer will guide your workouts and monitor your progress. The one-on-one attention from your personal trainer will help you maximize your potential and keep you motivated to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Anyone can benefit from a personal trainer! They are especially important for those attempting to lose weight, those who are beginning to work out for the first time, those who are training for a sporting event or competition, or those that need to recharge their workouts.
Aquatic and Fitness Center trainers all have nationally recognized certifications. We have both male and female trainers. We have instructors to suit the needs of individuals at any fitness level. You can choose a trainer who is a perfect match to your individual needs, goals and preferences.
¨ Assess your current level of fitness.
¨ Design an exercise program tailored to your fitness goals.
¨ Ensure proper form on exercise machines.
¨ Monitor your progress and motivate you to achieve your goals.
¨ Monitor your transition from rehabilitation to an exercise program.
¨ Help you train for an upcoming sporting event.

Personal training sessions are available by appointment between the hours of 6 am and 8 pm, Monday through Friday. Sessions are also available on weekends. See the Front desk to sign up. After signing up you will call your instructor to set up an appointment.
You may also take advantage of personal yoga, private Pilates and swim classes.
New members when signing up for a membership if you purchase a personal training package that day you receive one free follow up assessment.

Racquetball is a great work out for members and is available to our members and non-members for a nominal fee.

Reservation information:
Courts available from 6am – 9pm Monday-Friday, 7am – 6pm Sat. and, 9am – 6pm Sundays. You may call the front desk at 398-6900 48 hrs in advance to reserve court time.
Court fees: $4 members, $8 non-members before 5pm. $8 members, $10 non-members after 5pm and weekends. $35 10 play card, $175 annual unlimited play.
Street shoes are not permitted on courts, racquetball eyeguards are MANDATORY. You must be 18 yrs of age or accompanied by an adult.

Surfset Fitness

This is the all-inclusive SURFSET® Program that incorporates equal amounts strength training, aerobic & sprint training, core strengthening, balance improvement & surf-inspired exercises for a fast-paced, results-oriented, fun Session.

Summer Camp


The Aquatic & Fitness Summer Camp staff is hoping to see you and your child this summer. We are offering the Fun N’ Fitness Summer Camp for ages 4 to 10 year olds. Camp will be full of splashing fun, lots of glue, and fitness challenges. The children will be kept busy in the morning program with fun sports and games, a swim lesson and pool playtime. Later we fuel up with a snack and make a crafty momento to take home each day of camp.Camp will provide outdoor activities, swim lessons and a trip once a session. Qualified camp counselors guide you through many facets of Fun-N-Fitness.

Little Rec'ers
The Ocean City Recreation Little Rec'ers Program begins September 20, 2016
The 3 - 5 year-old group meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 a.m.until 11:30 a.m. Classes are held at the 6th Street Sports & Civic Center unless noted. Please provide a drink and a snack for the Tuesday/Thursday group.
The program is based on having fun through fitness & games. Children will also have the opportunity to swim twice a month. Swim dates for Fall 2016 October 13th & 18th and November 17th & 22nd. Little Rec'ers will be held at the Ocean City Community Center.
Children must be toilet trained and be of age on October 1st. Proof of age is required at registration. The 2-day program COST: 10 PLAY DAYS $80 - 20 PLAY DAYS $150 1 Day drop in $10.
Space is limited, so registration is on a first come, first serve basis. For more information, call the OC Recreation Department.
